CloudLinux Solo is for a server with a single hosting account (one site), typically a VPS with cPanel Solo: LVE, CageFS and PHP Selector at $6.71/month. CloudLinux for cPanel is the full licence for cPanel/WHM servers with unlimited accounts, with MySQL Governor on top. CloudLinux OS is the same full licence for servers running Plesk, DirectAdmin or no control panel.
LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment) gives each account its own CPU, memory, process and disk I/O limits: if a site is attacked or runs a broken script, only that site slows down, not the whole server. CageFS locks each account into its own file system, so a compromised account cannot see other accounts’ files or use a local exploit to climb up to the server.
Yes. PHP Selector lets every account pick its PHP version (from 5.6 to the latest) and extensions from cPanel without affecting other accounts. Old versions receive security patches from CloudLinux (HardenedPHP), so a legacy site keeps running without exposing the server.
CloudLinux OS installs on top of AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux or CentOS and works with cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin, InterWorx or no panel. The current version list is on cloudlinux.com. The licence is issued to the server IP, which must be hosted at IPHOST.
When ordering you enter the IP of your IPHOST server. Once the payment clears, the licence is issued to that IP; you install CloudLinux with the official conversion script (or we do it on request) and reboot the server once. Moving it to another server goes through a ticket.
Monthly or yearly, in advance, with an invoice issued by IPHOST. A yearly payment costs the same as 11 months (−8%). You pay in euro by bank transfer, card or cryptocurrency; there is no setup fee. You can cancel at any time from the client area, effective next period, with no penalties.
