Windows Server VPS with the licence included

Yes. On the Win S, Win M, Win L, Win XL and Win 2XL plans the Windows Server licence is included in the monthly price through the Microsoft SPLA programme. The system comes activated, there is nothing to buy separately.

No. On the plans with the licence included, Windows Server is licensed by IPHOST through SPLA; it cannot be replaced with your own or a retail key, and the licence cannot be moved outside the server.

2 concurrent administrative RDP sessions are included. For more concurrent users we add RDS licences: $11.19/month per user, from the third one.

No. On the licensed plans we offer Windows Server only; desktop editions of Windows cannot be licensed on rented virtual servers.

Yes, with licences supplied through us and billed monthly with the VPS: Office Standard $22.40 or Office Professional Plus $30.25 per user (plus the user's RDS licence), SQL Server 2022 Web $28.00 for 4 cores, SQL Server Standard $25.76 per user. SQL Server Express is free. Prices exclude VAT.

Win S (2 vCPU, 4 GB): 1–2 users or a small application. Win M (2 vCPU, 8 GB): 2–5 users, 1C or accounting for a small company; the recommended plan. Win L (4 vCPU, 16 GB): 5–10 users or MS SQL Server. Win XL (8 vCPU, 32 GB): 10–15 users or heavy applications. More than 15 users: Win 2XL (16 vCPU, 64 GB).

The server is ready within 2 business hours after the payment is confirmed. You receive the IP address, user name and administrator password by e-mail, then connect through Remote Desktop.

Through Remote Desktop (RDP). After activation you receive the IP address, user name and administrator password by e-mail. On Windows use the built-in Remote Desktop Connection app; on macOS, iPhone and Android the free Windows App from Microsoft; on Linux, Remmina. You work on the server like on an ordinary computer, with full administrator rights.

For security we recommend changing the default RDP port and restricting access in the firewall to trusted IP addresses.

Not in the price. Optionally, for +20 % of the plan price per month, we take a full copy of the VPS once a week, keep it 30 days and restore it on request. For Win M, for example, backup costs $8.07/month. Enable it at order time or later from the client area.

Yes. On the first order of a Win S–2XL plan you have 14 days to cancel, and the amount paid for the VPS is refunded in full, to your client account or by the payment method you used. Additional licences (RDS, Office, SQL) and backup enabled in the meantime are billed for the period used.

Yes. The VPS gets an address from our network in Chișinău (AS60602), the same one the website is in. Check from your own computer, at home or in the office: ping 185.181.228.70 or open iphost.md; if they respond, your server will be reachable from there too. For routes and latency use the looking glass (ping and traceroute from Chișinău and Bucharest) and the speedtest. If something still does not work after activation, the 14-day money-back guarantee applies.

We cannot guarantee access to third-party services that filter data-centre addresses, such as betting platforms, some streaming services or banks: they set those rules and can change them at any time.

For 1C and accounting software, desktop applications used by a team through Remote Desktop, .NET and IIS applications, and services that require Windows Server.

From the client area: start, stop and reboot, OS reinstall, a noVNC console for when RDP does not respond, and network reconfiguration. Day-to-day work goes through Remote Desktop with full administrator rights.

Yes. Move to the next plan from the client area; it takes one reboot and your data and settings stay. The price difference is prorated for the remaining subscription period.

The server is unmanaged: Windows updates, antivirus and firewall rules are up to you; Windows Defender and the Windows firewall are on from installation. Basic support covers hardware, network and reinstallation. For work inside the system, ask sales for a quote.

Windows if you need 1C, desktop applications over RDP, .NET Framework, IIS or MS SQL Server. For websites, PHP, Node.js, Docker or MySQL and PostgreSQL databases a Linux VPS is enough: cheaper and without a licence.

Availability is guaranteed by the SLA: if it is not met you receive account credit, in steps, depending on the length of the outage. Measured uptime over the last year: 99.98 %.

A Windows VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual machine running Windows, with CPU, RAM and SSD storage allocated to you alone. It runs on KVM virtualization in our data center and you administer it over Remote Desktop (RDP), like your own Windows computer.

RDP is the Remote Desktop Protocol, the connection you use to control a Windows computer remotely. A Windows VPS is the server you connect to.

With a VPS, the whole virtual server, its resources and administrator rights are yours. A cheap “RDP” is often only a user account on a server shared with many other people.

On the licensed Win S–2XL plans you get Windows Server 2025 Standard, installed and activated by us; the Datacenter edition or an earlier version is available on request. Desktop Windows 10/11 is not offered on these plans.

Yes. The Win S–2XL plans include unmetered traffic under a fair-use policy on a 1 Gbps port.
