The IPHOST data centre
Power and cooling
- 2N redundancy: both power and cooling are duplicated.
- UPS with 5 minutes of autonomy and diesel generators starting 10 seconds after a grid failure.
- 6 cooling units, 24 °C ± 2, hot and cold aisles.
- Schuko sockets from two independent feeds, A and B; power cables are included in the setup fee.
- Customer UPS units are not allowed in the room; guaranteed power comes from the IPHOST infrastructure.
Rack and connection
- 600 × 1200 mm racks, width × depth.
- Each server PSU connects to a socket on a different feed, A and B.
Connectivity
- Uplink carriers: Voxility, InterLink, Cogent, RETN.
- Internet exchanges: MD-IX, KIVIX, InterLAN, NetIX.
- BGP: you can announce your own AS or your own prefixes; the session terminates on your network equipment in the rack.
- Own fibre: IPHOST runs its own ducted fibre network and can connect your equipment in the data centre directly to your office over dark fibre or a dedicated VLAN.
How is electricity billed?
Power consumption is billed separately from the colocation fee: €0.36 per kWh + VAT. The tariff includes cooling and guaranteed power through UPS and generators.
- 1U and 2U plans: periodic calculation based on the measured average consumption, adjusted with the next readings.
- From 10U: a dedicated power meter with real-time monitoring in the control panel and month-end billing on actual readings.
- Connection to the second feed, B, is included at no extra charge.
As a guide: an average draw of 0.3 kW is about 220 kWh a month, roughly €79 + VAT.
Each plan has an allocated power: 1U 0.2 kW, 2U 0.4 kW, 10U 1.2 kW, 20U 2.5 kW, full rack 5 kW. If your server exceeds the threshold under normal load, pick the next plan. We can help estimate consumption from the specifications.

Access and security
- 24/7 access according to the access list you provide. The list is not limited; at most 2 people may be in the room at the same time.
- Visits are scheduled through the IPHOST control panel and confirmed by our engineers. Free Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00; outside business hours about €15/hour.
- FaceID access control; CCTV recordings are kept for at least 30 days.
- A handover report is signed when equipment is delivered and when it is removed.
- We do not offer separate storage; on request a 1U or 2U cabinet for spare parts can be mounted in the rack, non-flammable materials only.
Contract terms
- Minimum contract term: 12 months.
- 10% discount on colocation services for a 24-month contract.
- No deposit and no prepayment; the discount depends on the contract term, not on the payment method.
- Prices are in EUR, VAT excluded; on request the calculation is presented in MDL at the exchange rate on the invoice date.
- Moving to a bigger plan does not require relocating your equipment.
