What 1 Gbps means on a VPS

The port speed sets how fast data moves in and out of the server, which matters for downloads, video, backups and busy APIs. On a VPS the 1 Gbps port is shared with other clients on the same host, and each plan includes a monthly traffic allowance that you can raise when you configure the server. For a dedicated 1 Gbps port with unmetered traffic as an option, choose a 1 Gbps dedicated server.

When I will receive the login details?

Your Linux VPS with a 1Gbps connection will be activated within a few minutes of completing your payment. However, if manual validation of your payment details is required as part of our anti-fraud policy, the process may take a bit longer.

Is there a dedicated IP address for Linux VPS hosting with a 1Gbps connection?

Each Linux VPS plan includes one dedicated public IPv4 address. On most plans you can add one additional IPv4 address when you order.

Is Linux VPS hosting suitable for mining?

No, mining is not permitted on our Linux VPS hosting services. At IPHOST, mining activities are strictly prohibited on our VPS hosting plans. Mining operations can excessively utilize resources, leading to a negative impact on server performance and potentially disrupting the experience of other customers sharing the same server. Our stringent policy against mining ensures that all users of our Linux VPS hosting receive optimal performance without any interference.

Where are linux VPS hosting servers located?

What happens when the traffic allocated for the VPS is exhausted?

When the traffic allocated for a VPS approaches its limit, the customer will receive a notification urging them to increase the amount of traffic allocated to the VPS service. If the allocated traffic has been fully consumed and the customer has not opted to upgrade their package, then the VPS will be disconnected from the internet. It is important to note that the amount of traffic mentioned in the chosen package is granted and reset every 30 days.

Do all VPS plans on this page have a 1 Gbps port?

Yes. Every Linux VPS plan on this page, in Chișinău and in Bucharest, is connected to a 1 Gbps network port. The port is shared with other clients on the same host server, so the full speed is not guaranteed at all times.

Is traffic unmetered on a 1 Gbps VPS?

No. Each plan includes a monthly traffic allowance: 2 TB to 8 TB on the Moldova plans and 5 TB to 25 TB on the Romania plans. You can add traffic when you configure the VPS. If you need unmetered 1 Gbps, see our 1 Gbps dedicated servers.

Should I choose Chișinău or Bucharest for my 1 Gbps VPS?

Choose Chișinău if most of your users are in Moldova. Choose Bucharest if you want the server inside the European Union or need more traffic included, since the Romania plans include 5 TB to 25 TB per month.

What types of content or projects are not allowed to be hosted on IPHOST servers?

According to IPHOST's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Terms and Conditions, projects that violate the law or the rights of third parties are not allowed to be hosted. This includes, but is not limited to:

the sale or distribution of prohibited substances (e.g., drugs, anabolics, unlicensed medications),
content that promotes illegal, violent, or abusive activities,
materials that infringe on copyrights or trademarks,
spam, phishing, or malicious activities.
